Donating Archival Collections

Our Wish List

We seek to collect archival materials that aid in the study and interpretation the history of American gardens and horticulture. Below are examples of the types of materials we seek to collect:

  • historic gardens (Victorian gardens, World's Fair gardens, war or victory gardens or gardens of the mid twentieth century)
  • gardens of the West and Mid-West
  • urban or community gardens
  • healing gardens (including Veterans’ gardens and therapeutic gardens)
  • gardens designed by women landscape practitioners
  • the work of garden photographers

Formats accepted include photographic materials, select ephemera, written records, and select landscape plans.
